Leather watch strap, handmade in Finland using premium Italian leather. Absolutely beautiful, vintage looking and soft on the wrist.

This strap model has calfskin lining (Zermatt, veg-tanned leather) to add durability and thickness to the strap: the strap is about 3 mm thick. The strap is non-stitched, glued, edges are dyed with natural color Italian paint (Fenice). Dyed edges prevent moisture and dirt from getting inside the strap, thus making it last longer.

This watch strap is made from traditional Tuscan vegetable-tanned leather produced by the Badalassi Carlo tannery in Italy. The leather is enriched with natural oils and waxes and softened through a milling process, giving it a comfortable feel from the first wear and a pronounced pull-up effect.

When the strap bends, the tone lightens at the fold as the oils shift inside the hide. This creates depth, natural variation, and a lively character. Thanks to the high oil content, the strap feels soft immediately, offers a secure grip on the wrist, and does not require a break-in period. Small surface scratches can often be reduced or hidden with light rubbing, as the waxes warm up and blend back into the leather.

Over time, the leather develops a rich patina. The matte surface becomes smoother and slightly glossy in areas of natural friction, and the color gradually deepens with wear. The natural Tuscan aroma — a mix of bark, oils, and waxes — also remains noticeable.

Each strap is handmade in Finland in small batches. Cutting, shaping, stitching, and finishing are completed manually. Natural differences in grain, tone, and pull-up behavior make every strap unique.
